Who’s Who at Town and Country Preschool
Classroom #1 (Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten programs)
Julie Cox Hi, I’m Julie Cox. I teach in room 1, and am just starting my fourth year hear at Town & Country Preschool. My last two years here have been wonderful and I am very excited with all of my new children and families! I have over 15 years of experience teaching preschool, and I began in 1984 after I graduated with my Early Childhood Education Associate’s Degree.
Pam Stephany My name is Pam Stephany. I work Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning in the Extended Daycare Program.
I was introduced to Town and Country Preschool when I was helping my son, Logan, who was a single parent, find schooling for his son, Isaac. Town and Country far exceeded our wants and needs for Isaac.

Classroom #3 (Extended Care Program)
Laurie White Hi, my name is Laurie White. I am one of the teachers in Room 3. This is my 4th year teaching at Town and Country Preschool. I am the mother of five adult children and proud grandmother of six. Three years ago I retired as a social worker in the Child Welfare field and now work part time. My professional and personal focus has always centered around children. I have sincerely enjoyed teaching and spending time with your children. As a full time working mother, I especially value the opportunity to provide a preschool and pre-K experience for children of working parents. I look forward to sharing the joy of watching and contributing to the growth and development of your child.
Julie Norwood My name is Julie Norwood and am known as Ms. Jules in room 3. I am very excited about the 2010-2011 Extended Preschool Program. During the summer while I was home with my 2 daughters, Shelbie 13 and Janie 11, I worked on new and exciting ideas to introduce to our program. Although I have over 20 years experience working with children, there is always something new to learn. We always strive to find new and clever ways to introduce and teach skills to the children that are inviting and fun and many times the children do not realize they are learning something. I started at T&C January of 2008 and am very excited about continuing to be a part of the family here.
Cathy Meekins Hello! My name is Cathy Meekins (aka Ms Cathy) and I’m thrilled to be joining Town and Country this year as one of the afternoon teachers in classroom three. I’ve been working with children as a family child care provider for over 10 years. I love to continue learning and my friends have been known to call me a “training junkie.” My eventual goal is a masters degree in Special Education. I have two teenage boys of my own who like to keep me on my toes. My husband retired from the Air Force in 2005 and we’ve been in Colorado since 2001. I’m originally from Michigan, he’s from North Carolina and we’ve been to five different states and Panama together. We’re glad to have finally been able to settle down and glad it was here in Colorado!
It is my goal to provide children with a safe, warm and loving classroom. I believe children learn best through play and strive to provide a developmentally appropriate environment. Promoting children’s self-esteem is one of my primary goals. My approach on caring for children includes encouraging them in problem solving, whether it is resolving a problem or just figuring out how a puzzle fits together. I truly enjoy working with young children and having the opportunity to make a difference in their lives.
